“WFP is boosting resilience at scale in the Sahel by restoring land, building community infrastructure, promoting education, improving nutrition and health, and creating jobs for women and young people in the five Sahel countries – Burkina Faso, Chad, Mauritania, Mali and Niger. 3 million people benefited from activities in 2022 in over 2,750 villages, and over 220,300 hectares of land were rehabilitated by Sahelians since 2018.”
