The article offers CMI’s most recent insight study, which makes the case that rather than being seen as distinct regions, the Maghreb and the Sahel should be seen as a single, integrated security and geopolitical landscape. It argues that rather than relying solely on fragmented, security-focused strategies, greater cross-regional collaboration, inclusive discourse, and investments in institutional, social, and economic connections can offer more sustainable routes to peace and stability.
