In order to increase awareness of the displacement and asylum issue in the Sahel and Lake Chad area and to generate funds for the immediate humanitarian response to this crisis and any future problems in this significant region of Africa, the OIC Headquarters hosted the Donor Conference to Support the Displaced and Refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin.
