Activities of the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel – Report of the Secretary-General (S/2024/521) (United Nations)

The current report, which spans the months of January 1 through June 30, 2024, provides an overview of the operations of the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS) as well as trends and developments in the region. In accordance with Security Council resolution 2349 (2017), it also provides an update on the situation in the Lake Chad Basin and marks advancements made in the execution of the UN integrated strategy for the Sahel.
