The EU, faced with greater difficulty in implementing its development policies, has … continued to support the countries of the region through humanitarian aid. From this point of view, and given the growing challenges, the Union has also increased the funds dedicated to food-safety emergencies. However, in addition to its commitment to humanitarian support, the EU must look for effective solutions to address excessive public debt and climate change due to their significant impact on food insecurity in the region of the Sahel.
