With a rigorous 50/50 gender balance, the Sahel Opportunities II project (2025–2028) intends to teach 4,175 young people and farmers in agroecology throughout the Sahel region. The program, which is headed by Swisscontact and backed by LED and SDC, promotes sustainable farming, vocational training, and rural development in order to address the high rates of young unemployment and food insecurity. The objective, which involves 400 trainers, is to improve local value chains for long-term resilience and empower youth as change agents.
