Because of the population’s reliance on rainfed agriculture, the Sahel area is very susceptible to seasonality and climate-related shocks. At the household level, diversifying sources of income might help lower risks, especially those associated with agricultural seasonality. A number of Sahelian nations have created productive inclusion initiatives in the last five years to help low-income households expand and diversify their economic ventures. Gaining a better understanding of the non-agricultural income distribution throughout the Sahel is the aim of this technical research. It seeks to provide light on the various forms of non-agricultural revenues and their importance in boosting the financial stability and resilience of households.
