The study by Search for Common Ground, Tilwate Peace Network, and the Bamako Forum on Digital and Social Cohesion offers insight into the safety of online spaces for women and how online spaces might better serve them as crucial players in peace consolidation. It is based on a literature analysis and key informant interviews with women in Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali on their online experiences. The report offers suggestions on how to enhance equal access to the internet while supporting laws that support women’s involvement and shield them from harassment and abuse to multilateral organizations, government authorities and policymakers, tech businesses, educational institutions, and advocacy groups.
