The timely and accurate data required to address the region’s growing food security and nutrition concerns is provided by the Regional Report on Food Security and Nutrition in West Africa and the Sahel 2024 (RRSAN). In addition to enhanced technical assessments by the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS) and its partners on the 2023–2024 agricultural campaign, the report contains data and analyses from the most recent March 2024 Cadre Harmonisé (CH) cycle. It was created in cooperation with the Cadre Harmonisé Technical Committee in support of the Global Food Crisis Network (GNAFC) and is the outcome of a partnership between CILSS and the Food Security Information Network (FSIN). It contributes to a shared narrative on acute food insecurity by being consistent with the Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC).
