To accommodate the continuously evolving health care environment in the Sahel, we modify our activities. International humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGOs), national NGOs, and UN agencies have all worked together with the Global Fund, based on our inclusive partnership approach and in response to the humanitarian circumstances. We also improve community health systems and pandemic readiness by investing in HIV, TB, and malaria. Key accomplishments of the cooperation in the Sahel region since the Global Fund’s founding in 2002 include:
– 144.4 million mosquito nets were given;
– 256,304 persons received antiretroviral therapy for HIV;
– 433,172 received TB treatment.
