Women Preventing Violent Extremism (WPVE) in the Horn and Sahel (USIP)

Women must be integrated in the fight against the “drivers of violent extremism” in the Horn of Africa and the Sahelian region, the USIP writes in the report linked below. Already, women’s organizations are engaged in limiting the very negative impact extremist groups have on the two regions. “Trust-building initiatives” could “improve communication and collaboration.”
