Bernardo Venturi and Luca Barana write in this paper that the intersection of conflict and climate change is not the only possible focus. In fact, accuracy in analysis is not always given, if one adopts this view, as “the feedback loops among climate change, social marginalisation and conflict are not as straightforward”.
Good governance can both contribute to increasing legitimacy and effectiveness of steps taken. One of these steps has been the implementation “key policy tools to manage the natural resources … sustainably,” as adopted by the Lake Chad Basin Commission.
